Revanth Reddy Unveils Vision for Hyderabad With 30,000-Acre Future City, Bullet Train Network and Trillion-Dollar Economy Target

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy unveiled an ambitious development roadmap for Hyderabad at the Way2News Conclave 2026, featuring a 30,000-acre Future City, bullet train connectivity to major cities, a USD 1 trillion economy target by 2034, and major infrastructure expansion supported by ASBL and the real estate sector.

Hyderabad is preparing for a massive transformation under the leadership of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who unveiled an ambitious long-term development roadmap during the Way2News Conclave 2026 held at JRC Convention and Trade Fairs in Jubilee Hills. The Chief Minister outlined plans for a 30,000-acre Future City, a major bullet train network centred on Hyderabad, and a target of building a USD 1 trillion Telangana economy by 2034.

The conclave brought together political leaders, policymakers and creators to discuss the future of Telangana. Real estate developer ASBL emerged as one of the central participants in the event, contributing to panel discussions, supporting the conclave’s vision and highlighting Hyderabad’s expanding growth story. During the event, ASBL received the “Most Innovative Builder of the Decade” award.

Addressing the gathering, Revanth Reddy expressed strong confidence in Hyderabad’s real estate sector. He stated that despite years of steady growth, the market had only begun to unlock its actual potential. According to the Chief Minister, Hyderabad is prepared for a much faster phase of expansion, even as global economic shifts and the rise of artificial intelligence continue reshaping industries and lifestyles worldwide.

The Chief Minister pointed to official reports from the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, NITI Aayog and the Goods and Services Tax Department as evidence that Hyderabad’s real estate sector has consistently moved upward over the last seven years. He said the previous growth represented only a preview of the city’s larger future potential.

Responding to concerns about a perceived slowdown in the real estate market and investments, Revanth Reddy directly criticised what he described as misleading online narratives. He stated that certain individuals were “putting investment into propaganda, writing lies themselves and believing them.”

Highlighting Hyderabad’s Financial District as a model of planned urban development, the Chief Minister said the area had evolved into a major international business hub because the government focused on world-class infrastructure while allowing private developers to build and expand with confidence. He said nearly one million people currently work in the Financial District.

He also referred to the growing demand in the micro-market surrounding the area, stating that land in Raidurg’s Knowledge Park was recently sold at a record price of INR 184 crore per acre. According to the Chief Minister, the government’s primary responsibility is to deliver foundational infrastructure such as metro connectivity, high-speed highways and efficient airport access, creating confidence among investors and builders.

The centrepiece of the government’s long-term development strategy is Bharat Future City, a proposed 30,000-acre urban project near Hyderabad. Revanth Reddy described it as one of the most ambitious city-building exercises attempted by any Indian state. He compared the scale of Future City with earlier projects like the Financial District, which covered only 400 to 500 acres. He said the new development had the potential to stand alongside major global cities such as New York, Tokyo and Singapore.

The Chief Minister also announced major transport connectivity plans linked to Future City. A 12-lane expressway and railway line will connect the project to Machilipatnam Port on the Bay of Bengal coast. He further revealed that three of the seven new bullet train corridors proposed by the Central Government would connect through Hyderabad, linking the city with Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai.

Revanth Reddy repeatedly returned to Telangana’s broader economic ambitions during his address. He noted that while Telangana accounts for only three percent of India’s population, the state already contributes five percent of the national Gross Domestic Product. He said the government’s goal is to increase that contribution to 10 percent and push Telangana’s economy beyond USD 1 trillion by 2034, with Hyderabad and its real estate ecosystem playing a central role in achieving that target.

ASBL strongly aligned itself with the government’s future vision for Hyderabad during the conclave. The company stated that while the government is focused on building large-scale infrastructure, ASBL is concentrating on creating residential and commercial spaces suited to the city’s high-growth future.

The company currently operates 10 million square feet of developed space and has another 10 million square feet under development. ASBL said its continued expansion reflects its commitment to Hyderabad’s rapid urban growth and long-term economic transformation.

The Way2News Conclave ultimately emerged as a major platform for presenting Telangana’s future development agenda, with Hyderabad positioned at the centre of India’s next major urban and economic expansion story. Through massive infrastructure projects, transport connectivity and real estate growth, the state government aims to redefine Hyderabad as a global investment and innovation destination over the coming decade.
